Computer Vision Deep Learning / AI Engineer

Winnipeg, MB - Continous / Open Recruitment



Use state of the art deep learning and other artificial intelligence tools in a computer vision setting applied to road user object recognition and motion tracking. The Computer Vision team's goal is to produce accurate classified road user trajectories (position and speed) from a large variety of camera types, video qualities, camera angles, and lighting levels. 


  • M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field focused on deep learning techniques for computer vision

  • Application of deep learning computer vision techniques to video motion tracking problems desirable

  • Ph.D. desirable

  • Previous software development experience in a commercial environment is considered an asset

  • Demonstrated strong background in computer vision algorithms for detection, tracking, classification, camera calibration etc.

  • Knowledge of machine learning methods for computer vision tasks

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python

  • Experience with OpenCV and other computer vision libraries

  • Experience in GPU programming (e.g. CUDA, OpenCL)

  • Familiarity with Linux software development environment

  • Eligible to work in Canada
